...I was 27 when I first moved to this "land of opportunity." Perhaps, this
"opportunity" was on sale at Nordstrom's just before I got here. All I
know is that I haven't seen much of it. Anyway, as I was saying, there
was a time when I was working as the Specialista d/s Sportu i
Rekraacji Dyrekcji Okregu Kolei Panstwowych we Wroclawiu. Oddly
enough, that didn't mean much to my employers here either. You see, I had so many
people give me so much respect and responsibility in my old town of
Wroclaw, but I ended up throwing cases of Cola-Cola in Amarillo just a
year later. Confused? You should be. Actually so was I. In some ways,
I still am...
...In my situation, it was the Fredrick Chopin School. Yes, THE Chopin. As
you can imagine, to make it to that school was an adventure on
it's own. You see, it was the school that every child in Wroclaw wanted to
go to (well, at least the parents wanted it for them) and only a few
were accepted. Most of the time, students were, well, rich. I was, well,
not. Politics started early in my life. I guess I was lucky, but don't
get me started on that...
