Two Faces of Jerzy
Excerpts taken from Chapter 1 -- Nothing
to Hide
...I was 27 when I first moved to this "land of
opportunity." Perhaps, this "opportunity" was on
sale at Nordstrom's just before I got here. All I
know is that I haven't seen much of it. Anyway, as I
was saying, there was a time when I was working as
the Specialista d/s Sportu i Rekraacji
Dyrekcji Okregu Kolei Panstwowych we Wroclawiu.
Oddly enough, that didn't mean much to my employers
here either. You see, I had so many people give me
so much respect and responsibility in my old town of
Wroclaw, but I ended up throwing cases of Cola-Cola
in Amarillo just a year later. Confused? You should

...In my situation, it was the Fredrick Chopin
School. Yes, THE Chopin. As you can imagine, to make
it to that school was an adventure on it's
own. You see, it was the school that every child in
Wroclaw wanted to go to (well, at least the parents
wanted it for them) and only a few were accepted.
Most of the time, students were, well, rich. I was,
well, not. Politics started early in my life. I
guess I was lucky, but don't get me started on
that...
